Well, I’m included into the new generation of U2 fans. Even if I were born two decades after the band was formed, I have learned to appreciate their music especially their hits ‘Elevation‘ and ‘With or Without You’.
U2 is composed of Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. The band has received several citations in the industry–has won more Grammy awards than any other bands. It has also sold more than 170 million albums worldwide.
There were rumors spreading since last year (or since U2’s rise to fame) that they are coming to Manila this year but those are still left to be rumors still. The only definite event that will surely satisfy the longing of U2’s Filipino fans is the U2 3D show at the SM Mall of Asia.
U2 3D, being the first-ever live action digital 3d film, will premiere at the San Miguel Coca-Cola IMAX Theatre starting April 1. It showcases several footages from the Vertigo Tour in 2006. Adding to your U2 concert experience is the innovative digital 3D imagery and multi-channel surround sound making U23D stand out among 3D or concert films shown before.
