This week could be the best week for all Filipino followers of Swing Out Sister and Duran Duran as they are set to do a concert in Manila this 2nd week of April 2008.

SWING OUT SISTER

First to hit the concert scene this week will be the former British trio, who’s now a duo, composed of Andy Connell and Corinne Drewery. Swing Out Sister…Breakout Live in Manila, is a comeback concert of the group after their last concert here in 1994. It will be held at the Araneta Coliseum tomorrow, April 7 at 8:00 PM.

SOS is known for hits such as ‘Breakout’, ‘La la Means I Love You’, ‘Am I The Same Girl’, ‘Precious Words’, ‘Forever Blue’, ‘You On My Mind’, among others. Known for showcasing different genres in their previous albums, it is expected that tomorrow’s event will feature a fusion of pop, jazz, soul, funk, hip-hop and easy listening music.

After Swing Out Sister’s concert this Monday, it will be followed by Duran Duran on Thursday, April 10 at 8:00 PM. The upcoming concert entitled ‘Red Carpet Massacre: Duran Duran… Live in Manila‘ will showcase their greatest hits and songs from their new album Red Carpet Massacre which features collaborations with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland.
