Here’s the continuation of the rumored upcoming concerts in the Philippines this 2008.

5. Madonna

I heard about the rumor that she’s coming just last December. With the Confessions Tour Album and also with the release of her eleventh studio album under Warner Bros. featuring collaborations with Timbaland, Pharell Wlliams and Justin Timberlake, it will also be perfect for this musical icon to come over here in Manila. As some says, this is still under negotiations but there are greater chances that it will push through. The concert is rumored to happen in July with Taguig Open fields or MOA Complex as venues.

6. Josh Groban

We all know that Josh Groban has been here just recently and the tickets were really expensive. His two shows here were held inĀ  a smaller venue, and with Josh very happy with his Filipino fans, there are greater possibilities that he will come back and perform to more fans in a bigger venue. Josh is possible to come back to the Philippines and do a concert this July at the Araneta Coliseum.

7. Dave Matthews band

With an award and several nominations from Grammy’s, having sold over 31 million albums and included in the Top 100 Highest Selling Music Acts of all time, who will say it’s not worth for Dave Matthews band to do a concert here? Well, there are rumors that they will also do a concert here in September and it could be held at the Fort or MOA complex.

8. U2

Aside from 170 million albums worldwide and being able to grab more Grammy awards as compared to other bands, the band is also known for addressing several issues such as poverty, disease, and social injustice. While keeping their traditioal sound and influences, U2 has been able to keep loyal fans while getting a new generation of fans worldwide. U2 is rumored to do a concert either at MOA complex or at the Fort this September.

9. Justin Timberlake (FutureSex/LoveShow tour)

I’m sure until now many are still hoping about Justin Timberlake’s arrival and concert here in the Philippines. Rumors about his concert in Manila were even formed way ahead to Beyonce’s concert which was done last November 2007. Well, Justin’s concert is just one of those much awaited/wished-for/rumored concerts to be held here. While others said that it will no longer push through since the tour ended in the Middle East last December 2007 and the DVD version of the tour was shown in a local cable channel before New Year’s eve, many are still hopeful of this former member of N’Sync arrival in Manila. Anyway, there are still rumors that Mr. Sexyback is coming this October, with either The Fort or MOA complex as concert venue.

10. Spice Girls

The Spice Girls fever is back! With the group making the “Headlines” on the later part of 2007 until this year and with concert tickets selling like hotcakes in some parts of the globe, I’m sure a lot of fans here in the Philippines are very much excited. No rumored dates or venues of their concert in Manila yet but the group’s handlers are said to have been choosing from Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong and Singapore as venue for their Asian tour.

11. Usher

It’s been a very long time that Usher’s fans out there (including me) have been waiting for him. Good news is he’s coming up with a new album this 2008 after months of settling down and after becoming a father. I just really hope he’ll come to Manila as soon as possible. Well, there are rumors that he’s coming on November which will take place either at MOA complex or at the Fort.

** **

If all of these concerts will push through, it can be concluded that 2008 is much better than 2007 for music enthusiasts in terms of concerts held. On the other hand, it will cause great confusion to music lovers out there. Probably some will have a hard time in choosing from what concert to watch and as well as in budgeting their money. Better start budgeting now so that you’ll not miss your favorite artists or bands.
