Rocksteddy and Quest Mashes Up Old and New Hits

It has been a long time I haven’t heard of Rocksteddy and I guess doing a collaboration with another band is going to be a perfect time for them to be heard again. This time, let’s hear how Rocksteddy together with Quest band bring a fresh sound through their collaboration.

As compared to Rocksteddy, Quest is a new band to me. I haven’t heard them until I knew about this collaboration for Coke Music Studio. So I did a little research about them and found out that this group has been making its name especially on the internet.

Though the band is quite new to me, what I like about the group was they were able to create a brand new sound to OPM, a sound that’s close to Western music. If you’re looking for a soothing, light and refreshing music, then Quest’s songs could be good options. And I think the lead’s voice almost resembles Bruno Mars’ voice.

But, I was wondering how almost a year old hit (Quest’s “Back To Love”) would blend to a 4-year old hit (Rocksteddy’s “Gising Na”). I can’t really imagine how it will sound like. I’m sure it is definitely gonna be a challenge to both bands but I’m sure they’ll do some tweaks to make it work just like the previous mash-ups done by other artists.

Looking at the backstage photos taken for this collaboration (more photos at this link: http://musicstudio.coca-cola.com.ph/index.php/album-level2/gid-1315411912872/album.html), well, it looks like they really had fun. If I were them, I would feel a little nervous but it seems like they were just little kids playing with some Coca-Cola bottles and enjoying while in the set.
