April 30 – U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) released its Special 301 Report on the adequacy and effectiveness of intellectual property rights (IPR) protection by U.S. trading partners. The Philippines is still included in its low level priority watch list, while Canada is elevated the top of the priority watch list for the continuining need for copyright reform. May 1 – Coldplay announces a free download / giveaway of album containing live versions of their tracks (More details here: Download Coldplay Album for Free)
May 2 – TV 5’s 2nd Live Caravan a success. Present at the event are celebrities and personalities from TV 5. The event was attended by many of fans who chose to spent the long-weekend with their favorite stars. Parokya ni Edgar and Moonstar 88 also graced the event.

May 3 – Martin Nievera’s way of singing Philippine National anthem “Lupang Hinirang” being criticized. Obviously, there were modifications on the version of the anthem done by the renowned singer on the opening of Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton fight. National Historical Institute Chairman Ambeth Ocampo expresses dissatisfaction through an article published at Inquirer.net.

- Ad campaign and website for Akomismo.org was recently launched and released. People are wondering who’s responsible or what’s the real score behind the campaign which is being endorsed by popular figures in showbiz and music industry such as Charice Pempengco, Arnel Pineda, Ely Buendia, among others.
