After ten million copies sold and getting multi-Grammy awards for ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’, here comes another album from Mariah Carey.Performer and songwriter Mariah Carey has announced April 14 as the international releasing day of her much-awaited album E=MC² while it will be available in the US on April 15

E=MC², being the 11th studio album of Mariah, is a follow up of ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ which generated three Grammy Awards –Best Contemporary R&B Album, and the single “We Belong Together” won Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song, aside from its two no. 1 hits and countless industry citations while staying on music charts for 18 months.

The new album features the first single “Touch My Body” which is written and produced by Mariah Carey, C. “Tricky” Stewart, and The-Dream, and has blasted out worldwide last February 12. In fact, after it was first played on the radio, it entered the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart at no. 78. After a week, it went to no. 57 of Billboard Hot 100 while moved by 58 spots making it to the no. 20 of the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart. While its music video, directed by feature filmmaker Brett Ratner, will premiere over the internet and other media in few weeks time.

Guest producers who joined C. Stewart and The-Dream include Jermaine Dupri, DJ Toomp, Stargate, Will.I.Am, Bryan Michael Cox, Nate “Danjahandz” Hills and James Poyser. It is executive produced by Mariah Carey and Antonio “LA” Reid, Chairman, Island Def Jam Music Group.

Mariah is the only solo female artist to occupy the Hot 100’s top two positions for her songs ‘Shake It Off’ and ‘We Belong Together’. Her song ‘Don’t Forget About Us’ has made a tie with Elvis Presley in terms of records in Billboard 100 history for having 17 no. 1 hits. She is now positioned as the only active recording artist in the 48 years of the Hot 100 (which began in 1958) with the potential to surpass the Beatles’ all-time high of 20 #1 hits.
