Another Filipino in the name of Madonna Decena is making a name abroad just like our Ramiele Malubay, Mariel Jacoda, Charice Pempengco, among others. In fact, her talent has been shown in different venues–from restaurants to stadiums, and now on the new season of TV show “Britain’s Got Talent”, the British counterpart of American Idol.

Among other contenders, Madonna has been a crowd favorite after everyone heard of her heart-melting story and when she rendered her version of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. After her performance, she got the “sweet yes-es” of Judges Amanda Holde, Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell.

Decena is a single parent of two children but unfortunately, she had to leave them to her parents to prepare for a better future for her family. She hasn’t seen her two daughters (now ages 5 and 6) for almost a year now.

In an interview by itv.com, 32-year old club singer Madonnasaid, “I’m not just here for a simple reason of competing, looking for fame or just money for my own dreams.” She added, “I am hear for a higher purpose of saving and providing for my kids.”

Aside from the following she gets from the Brits, Madonna is also becoming popular on video-sharing site Youtube.
