The Philippine National Police has claimed that street crimes in the metro dropped this Christmas season as compared to the previous years.
Improved visibility on the streets of our policemen is said to be the main reason of this significant drop in crime rates, according to PNP chief Director General Avelino Razon Jr.
Together with thePNP, the Armed Forces of the Philippines is also helping in patrolling the streets of Metro Manila through their “Metro Mamang Pulis at Kasundaluhan” joint anti-criminality campaign. The officers in each barangay are also extending their arms to help maintain peace and order in their area while off-duty policemen will be in touch with their respective units in case of emergencies.
Theft, snatching, and robbery are the most common crimes every Christmas.

insight:
This is really good to hear that crime rates in the metro are down and our policemen and armies are doing a great job! But it is sad to know that there are still some of them who do nothing but to make their bellies big and fill their pockets with money through underground activities.
