After getting 56% of 97.5 million votes, David Cook is declared the winner of the seventh season of American Idol after a head-to-head battle with David Archuleta.
After each performance on the first night of the people, David Archuleta received favorable comments from the judges as compared to David Cook.
Rocker David Cook considers “Our Lady Peace” and “Big Wreck” as his influences. He auditioned at Omaha in Nebraska with “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” by Bryan Adams as his audition piece. It was followed by a performance of Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be”.
Here are the other songs performed by Cook in the entire seventh season of American Idol:
The World I Know

I really lost hope for DC last based on the judges’ comments last night. Most especially when Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson almost announced little Archie’s AI victory. I feel though both Davids performed well last night.
DC deserves the title as he is the most original and talented contender this year. I’m simply happy for the result.
BTW, I really don’t recall DC singing “Imagine” on Idol. I have downloaded every song he performed for the entire season
When was this performed?
Anyhow, more power to you. It’s fun reading your posts

Oh and one more thing, I think DC used Bon Jovi’s “Living Like a Prayer” (did I get the title right?) as his audition piece in Omaha, Nebraska. Bryan Adam’s “Everything I Do” was sung in Hollywood Week (first round) and followed by Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be” (second round).
Pasensya ha, full-felged DC fanatic ako
Cheers!
Winkie: Even if he got less favorable comments from the judges, I had this feeling that he’ll make it. The voting lines of Cook are so congested right after the show unlike Archuleta’s. Thank God he’d given me patience which made me cast 4 votes for Cook as compared to 2 votes for Archuleta. (I hope it helped)
That was my very first time to vote actually that’s why I’m excited
.
As for his audition song, yeah, he sang Bon Jovi’s “Livin on A Prayer” while Bryan Adam’s “Everything I Do” in Hollywood. Thanks for the corrections. =) That really proves you’re a fan.
Thanks for the visit!
