
Got a date this Valentine’s day? Want to be in the best night or date with your man or woman? Why not go to a concert with him or her? Well, with Valentine’s day nearing, I’m sure your favorite bands and artists (from local to foreign) are preparing something for you. To help you out in planning for a perfect night out or date, here’s my list for upcoming shows, events or concerts which will be held in the Metro prior to, during or after Valentine’s day:
Pre-Valentine
- Rockoustik Jammin
If you and your partner prefers rock over other genre, local artists such as Chad Peralta, Chris Cayzer, RJ Jimenez, Yeng Constantino will be jamming at Bagaberde in Pasig on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 9pm. Ticket is worth 250 (Patron, Free seating).
- Liplock (Be Loved and Be Rocked)
Into local alternative/rock bands? Well, there’s another “rock-full” event on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 8pm at Metro Bar located along West Avenue in QC which couples will enjoy especially if they like bands such Callalily, Sandwich, Urban Dub, and Imago who will be present on that evening.
- “Sitti… So This is Love”
Artist Sitti Navarro will be performing bossa nova inspired hits at the Music Museum for two nights so there’s no excuse of missing it. On February 8, she will be performing with Marissa Sanchez while February 9, she’ll be with Jon Santos. Tickets: 1545 and 1030.

- Toni Gonzaga… Catch Me!
I’m sure, your girl will absolutely love seeing Toni Gonzaga as she performs live and sings her hits. Performing with her are Sam Milby and Vhong Navarro at the Aliw Theater on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 8pm. Tickets: 1575 (VIP Center), 1260 (VIP Sides), 840 (Patron Center), 420 (Patron Sides).
- A Hearty Dinner Show with Fun
With artists such as Nina, Mark Bautista, Marissa Sanchez, and Maricris Garcia, the night will be full of great performances and fun too. This even will be held at Le Pavillion, Roxas Blvd. on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 6:30pm. Tickets: 3150 (Table A, free seating), 2625 (Table B, free seating), and 2100 ( (Table C, free seating).
- Rock Ur Valentine’s Nite live with Kyla, Shamrock, Cueshe and Mojofly!
So here’s another rock event prior to Valentine’s day. Performing live will be Kyla, Shamrock, Cueshe and Mojofly. This will be at the Music Museum on February 11 at 7:30pm. Ticket prices: 1030, 875, 721 and 515.
- Ol 4 Luv
If you wanna be enchanted by the powerful voices of artists like Erik Santos, Christian Bautista, Sarah Geronimo and Rachelle Ann Go, Ol 4 Luv could be the perfect show for you and for your lover. This will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 8pm. Tickets: 3675 (Patron VIP), 2625 (Patron), 2100 (Lower Box), 735 (Upper Box A), 525 (Upper Box B) and 315 (Gen. Admission).
- Julia Fordham
Original artist of hit song “Love Moves in Mysterious Ways.” Check out the details here.
- Souls in Love
This event will showcase performances from Jay R, Kris Lawrence and Karylle. It will be held at Teatrino Promenade on February 13, 2008 at 8pm. Tickets available for only P1545.
Valentine’s Day
- Jose Mari Chan…A Heart’s Journey!
Premiereb balladeer Jose Mari Chan will be doing a two-night concert on February 13 and 14 at the Music Museum with special guest Sheryn Regis. Tickets prices: 3399, 2266, and 1133.
- Connie Francis…The Greatest Hits Show
Connie Francis, an American singer popular for her hits “Where the Boys Are“, “Everybody’s Fool“, and “Who’s Sorry Now“, will be doing a concert at the Araneta Coliseum on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 8pm. Ticket prices: 5250 (Patron VIP), 3675 (Patron), 2888 (Lower Box), 1838 (Upper Box A), 1050 (Upper Box B), and 525 (Gen. Admission).
- On This Day – A Valentine Show with David
Known for hits such as “Born for You”, singer David Pomeranz will be serenading at PICC Plenary Hall on February 14, 2008 at 8pm. If you’re into a lot of senti/love songs, this is a must-see show so perfect for the valentine’s. Tickets: 2500 (Orchestra Center), 2000(First Level Center), 1800 (Orchestra sides, secondary level center), 1800(First Level Sides), 1500 (First level sides), 1000 (Second level sides), and 800 (Balcony). All are reserved seating.
- Apo Hiking Society–Be Loved Again

After successful release of albums featuring revivals from Apo Hiking Society, they will be bringing back memories as they perform at the Grand Ballroom of The Bellevue Hotel in Muntinlupa on February 14, 2008 at 8:30pm. Seats are priced at 2500 (premier seats) and 2000 (deluxe seats) all inclusive of 1 round of standard drink. For inquiries, you may proceed to the front desk or call 771-8181.
- Love…What Matters Most
What about a night full of instrumental music and performances? John Lesaca, a multi-awarded violinist and musician, will be doing several musical hits along with Tots Tolentino and Noelle Cassandra at the PICC Reception Hall on February 14, 2008 at 7pm. In addition, nothing beats having a good dinner while listening to instrumentals. Tickets: 3675 (with dinner) and 1545 (show only).
- Nina…My Simple Heart
Soul Siren Nina together with her guest Wency Cornejo will be performing on February 14, 2008 at the One Esplanade at the SM Mall of Asia Complex. There will be a cocktail buffet which will be open at 7:30 pm while the concert will start at 9:00pm. For ticket reservations, you can call 832-5746 or 832-2968.
Post-Valentine

- MYMP… A Valentine So Perfect
Multi-platinum record-holder band MYMP will be having a post-valentine concert on February 16, 2008 at 8pm at the Meralco Theater. Tickets: 840 (Orchestra), 630 (Loge) and 420 (Balcony).
- Eto nAPO ang Pag-ibig
If you miss APO’s valentine event, you can still watch them perform live at The Covenarium along Mother Ignacia St Cor Sct Reyes St in QC on February 22 at 8pm. Tickets: 1000 (Orchestra 1), 800 (Orchestra 2), and 500 (Orchestra 3 and balcony).
