English rockband Coldplay is giving away their new single from their newest album for free over the web.

The new single “Violet Hill” (as announced by the band through their website) will be available for download at no cost starting April 29, Tuesday. The offer is only good for a week. To download the single, you can visit www.coldplay.com.

“Violet Hill” will be part of the band’s fourth album “Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends” and is set to be launched on the 12th of June this year.

The song will also be available for paid digital download on May 6 or a week after the free offer.

Aside from free music download, Coldplay has also announced to do two free shows at the Brixton Academy on June 16 and at the Square Garden in New York this coming June 23. Details on how to get free tickets will be announced on their website soon.
