MTV and DOT Reveals An Awesome Philippines

In an event graced by tourism Sec. Ace Durano, MTV and the Department of Tourism recently launched AwesomePhilippines.com to bridge people from anywhere in the world to the Philippines, a tropical paradise comprising of 7,107 wonderful islands.

“Awesome Philippines” is a new campaign by DOT and is aiming to encourage young travellers to discover more of the Philippines. It also promotes the country to United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Singapore, Canada, New Zealand, Malaysia, Korea, China, Taiwan, HongKong, and the rest of the world.

Through AwesomePhilippines.com, the campaign comes along with Remix-A-Holiday contest which allows the site’s users to create their dream holiday video and remix it with music, travel clips and photos. The winning video creator will get a chance to fulfill his/her dream holiday with a friend. (Mechanics at Awesome Philippines website). Promo runs until May 24, 2009.
