Solenn Heussaff Sings!
I haven’t really followed the celebrity edition of Survivor Philippines but if there’s one reason I watched, it’s because of Solenn Heussaff. Who wouldn’t be captured by her charm?
And I just want to share how surprised I was when I saw her sing in national TV! If I remember it correctly, I saw it on TV5′s showbiz-oriented talk show.
And there, I even found out she scored a recording deal under MCA Music! So it probably means she’s that good. I never thought this very beautiful lady has a lot of talents. Lucky, pretty girl. I’m wishing her luck.
Solenn is expected to do three albums under the label.
Not convinced? See this video.
Okay, I think I’m now a fan.
Rihanna Hollers Excitement And Verve in New Album, LOUD
World-class megastar Rihanna has once more heightened the intensity of her tasteful music, smashing the charts with much more of her celebrated uptempo dance grooves with the release of her new album, Loud. “Yes it is called ‘Loud’,” Rihanna told fans while appearing on Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show. “Get loud everybody. Get crazy. Get excited. ‘Cause I’m pumped. I’m just gonna be me, because that’s what you guys love the most, and that’s what makes me feel best. Just being normal, normal for me is Loud!.” Perhaps what makes this particular album so unspoiled is that each song is tailor-fit to Rihanna’s persona and definitely no one but she could pull it off.

Setting the scene for Loud is the first lead single, “Only Girl (In The World)” which has been steaming off local music charts and club scenes in the metro. This single’s debut became an instant hit across radio airplays indicating significant fate resembling that of Rihanna’s massive hits from her previous albums. Loud follows-up Rated R (November 2009) and its sequel Rated R: Remixed (May 2010). Previously, the double-platinum Good Girl Gone Bad (May 2007) contained the Grammy-winning global #1 hit “Umbrella” (featuring Jay-Z), then “Shut Up and Drive,” “Hate That I Love You” (featuring Ne-Yo), and “Don’t Stop the Music.” The CD+DVD package Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded (January 2009) continued the hits with the #1 “Take A Bow,” the #1 “Disturbia” and Top 20 “Rehab.” Good Girl Gone Bad was the third album release in less than two years by Barbados native Rihanna, who turned 22 on February 20th. It followed-up 2006’s RIAA platinum A Girl Like Me, which contained the back-to-back hits, “S.O.S.” and “Unfaithful”; and her RIAA gold debut from 2005, Music Of the Sun, featuring the world-wide smash, “Pon De Replay.”
On the threshold of her career, she already received several accolades, including the 2007 World Music Awards for World’s Best-Selling Pop Female Artist and Female Entertainer of the Year, as well as the 2008 American Music Awards for Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist and Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. Earlier this year, the RIAA double-platinum “Rude Boy” (the fifth multi-platinum certified song of Rihanna’s career) hit #1 on a slew of charts – including Billboard’s Hot 100 and Hot 100 Airplay, and MediaBase’s Pop, Hot Dance Radio, Hot Dance Clubs, Rhythm, and Urban charts. With “Rude Boy”’s success, Rihanna became the first female artist of the past decade to chart six #1’s on the Hot 100 – and tied Madonna in first place with seven #1’s on the Hot Dance Airplay chart (launched in 2003). Along with her successful concert in Manila last November 2008, Rihanna received double-recognition as she was presented with a platinum award by MCA Music, Inc. for her Good Girl Gone Bad album.

Having produced multi-platinum records over the past years, Rihanna is all set to make it even bigger this time. Sassy, fun, flirty, energetic –these words indeed aptly describe Loud. Her songs in this album, like “What’s My Name” (feat. Drake), “Skin” and “Cheers” give you a sense of a downright giggly and flirtatious Rihanna who wants a man to make her feel like a woman and she’s taking that message to the dancefloors by singing it out loud against a pulsating, club-ready beat, courtesy of the same team who brought her the OMG-so-catchy hit “Don’t Stop The Music.” How Rihanna continues to evolve, always giving a different edge and an entirely new perspective to each of the albums she has released proves her genuine artistry which is definitely noteworthy.
This deluxe album has 12 sizzling tracks including Rihanna’s chart-topping hit single feat. Eminem, “Love the Way You Lie” Part II plus a bonus DVD containing the making of the album.

Multi-platinum singing sensation, Justin Bieber releases another sure-hit album entitled My Worlds: The Collection. Adding an element of surprise and delightful twist on this 2-cd compilation, the first disc features new acoustic versions of fan favorites such as “One Time”, “Never Say Never” and “Baby” as well as a brand new single entitled “Pray.” This new single exudes an optimistic, uplifting vibe and it serves as the thrust and spirit behind the acoustic. The second disc includes all songs from Justin’s My Worlds album, in its entirety.
Intended as his gift to his fans, this album also showcases Justin playing the guitar alongside his musical director and fellow guitarist Dan Kanter, with additional acoustic instrumentation powered by a string quartet, congas and a cajon drum. The arrangements reflect Justin’s early days with merely an acoustic guitar or a lone piano and the percussion represents inspiration from Justin’s worldly travels, most recently to Africa.

This 16-year old superstar has proven to be an all-hit wonder as he continues to bag several major awards worldwide, since the release of his debut album My World. The release of her succeeding album, My World 2.0 has sprouted a quartet of record-breaking singles, starting with “Baby.” In addition to hitting #1 in the U.S. and Justin’s native Canada, My World 2.0 has reached #1 in 17 countries. My World, My World 2.0 and My Worlds have sold over 6 million albums combined worldwide. Interestingly here in the Philippines alone, Justin Bieber has stormed the airwaves, raved digital avenues and music stores nationwide as he bagged a Double-Platinum Record Award from an outstanding combined physical and digital sales performance of these three albums. Justin is currently nominated for an amazing four American Music Awards, including “Artist of the Year”, “Favorite Male Artist”, “Breakthrough Artist” and “Favorite Album” and there is no doubt that he would bag majority, if not all of these awards. Furthermore, he just recently won two MTV European Music Awards for “Best Male Artist” and “Best Push Act.” There really is no other way but up and at the top for Justin Bieber as the “Bieber fever” rages on.

Bringing out solid, chart-topping hits and albums, one after the other, Justin is strongly identified to be the top icon in teen pop and one ultimate artist the whole world will be constantly and eagerly watching.
