I was blog-hopping this afternoon when I got the chance to visit My Consoling Asylum and read the post about another pinoy singer who made it to the international scene.
I’m talking about Vincent Bueno, the grand winner of the Austrian musical competition, “Musical! Die Show” (Musical! The Show, which wrapped up last January 12, 2008.

Bueno was the only Asian who made it to the top 10. He won over Eva Klikovics and Gudrun Ihninger, making him earn fame plus 50,000 Euros or about 3 million in our local currency. During the finale, he performed Grease Lightning (from musical Grease), and then, “Music of the Night” (from Phantom of the Opera). Showcasing his best moves and his powerful voice, he won by landslide when he got 63.5% of televotes from televiewers in within and nearby Austria while his closest competitor got about 37% of votes.
“Musical! Die Show” (Musical! The Show) is not your ordinary musical competition as it showcases theatrical and dancing skills aside from singing.
