
From Mariah Carey last week, it is now the turn of British composer Andrew Webber to mentor American Idol contestants this week.
Lloyd Webber is a successful musical theater composer known for songs included in popular musicals such as “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Evita,” “Cats,” and “The Phantom of the Opera.” He was also recognized by different award-giving bodies in the industry such as the Grammy Awards, Tony Awards, Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, Laurence Olivier Awards, among others.
In this week’s episode, it is expected to hear his hits such as “I Don’t Know How To Love Him,” “Memory” and “Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina,” and other songs from shows like “Starlight Express,” “Aspects of Love,” and “The Woman in White”.
Andrew will also perform live together with the contestants during the results night.
Only six contestants are left this week which include David Archuleta, Jason Castro, David Cook, Syesha Mercado, Carly Smithson and Brooke White.
