The quintet band, My Chemical Romance, has just wrapped up their concert at the Fort Bonifacio Open Fields in Taguig City last night, January 25. It was a blast and I never thought it would turn out to be a really great show. After school, I hurriedly went home to take a rest for few minutes and to get my camera.
When we got to the venue, as usual there were lots of bystanders who preferred to peek and stay outside rather than go inside the concert venue. Well, from the outside you can of course still hear the sound and luckily, the screens are visible outside. Tickets were even sold at cheaper prices, thanks to Smart Buddy! Aside from Smart people selling the tickets, there were the ‘others’ doing their selling too.
At the venue, I was surprised how the Gen. Ad, Gold and VIP area were filled with fans as opposed to the silver area which was half-full. But luckily, even those from the back area are lucky since they were still quite near to the stage as compared to Beyonce’s concert where the venue was maximized.
As I have observed, there were more emos outside as compared to people inside. As expected, most of the audience were teenagers but there were yuppies and even young children. At this concert, I’ve seen how teenagers or the young generation has evolved. Now, not only women wear make-up. There, I’ve seen men with much visible make-up than their girlfriends. lol.
The concert started late as I expected but it was worth-waiting for. It was a blast for thousands of fans who were there as the band performed their hits such as Teenagers, Helena, Welcome to the Black Parade, Famous Last Words, and a lot more.
Too bad, I missed to bring my camera. It was just accidental when I went to SM yesterday and saw some of the band members (without Gerard) doing their shopping at Toy Kingdom. In fact, they were also there on last Jan. 24.

Going back, their performance was good and it was fun seeing the fans waving their hands as they sing along with the band. I really enjoyed it.
If you have missed this concert, well, there are a lot more artist coming this year such as Colbie Caillat, Incubus, Ne-yo and Maroon 5.

I was there. The band rocked. The concert was good but the audience sucked. especially those at the front row. You can see it on the look of Gerard Way’s face that he was disappointed when he left the stage. Rich people in front and the real fans at the back. People in front dressed like they were going to a disco or something. But anyway I was at the silver area and it was like so far away from the stage but I enjoyed the show because I love the band. I was at the back.
We had a great time there even though we were standing since we arrived there. (Though we sat on the ground too for a while and it was fun. Reminded me of Angels & Airwave’s Everything’s magic).
I’m thinking that Gerard was disappointed too. He wasn’t babbling like he’s wont to do in concerts. My friend even said he looked kind of pissed at some point. Now the thought of them not coming back here really saddened me.
I agree, Gerard asked the ‘gen-ad’ people to scream a couple of times compared to the people at the front. It’s been an hour, and still, the Gold and Silver areas are not yet fully occupied.
One thing I’ve observed that Gee’s disappointed was when after singing CANCER, he stated, “I can’t fucking hear you Manila… good night…”
I enjoyed the mosh pits, the bouncer, the soreness on my back, and of course, GEE’S hotness, yay!

SH*****T! thE concert rocked!!! I was at the gen ad due to “walang makakasama sa kin pag nag silver ako..” hahaha.. but shit! i loved it! i know all the black parade songs and the old songs they sang like drowning lessons, cemetary black, etc..even the b-side songs like kill all your friends, my way home is through you and desert song, you know what they do to guys like us in prison..they didn’t sing ghost of you though..and my favorite early sunsets over monoeville,,,(if ur a true fan u know these songs..)but it rocked!! i was so surprised when it ended! i wasnt expecting it! good thing i had videos and soundclips of the concerts..”how ya doing PINOYS!!”i didn’t notice my love gerard being pissed..well i hope he wasnt..i was screaming at the top of my lungs and sang with gerard..i hate posers more now..and some sucked for not screaming out loud..i was screaming “more!”..I WISH I SAW THEM @ SM! i would have freaked and fainted!

you guys really sure that MCR won’t be coming back?
Let’s not concentrate too much on the negative stuff. MCR is not bad and choosy or anything..
Yeah, most people at the front did suck that night. It would feel so good to tell them that they’re not watching at the cinemas.. but heck, other people were fckin awesome and that made the band go on with the concert.
next time, people who will be attending the concert just for the sake of seeing a foreign/popular band in person (not real fans and ‘posers’ by the way) please don’t stay in front.
THE SHOW ROCKED!!!!!! i sang to every song and wrote the whole roster on my arm!! XD woah… i’d probably cry if i met them face to face.. rotfl
it breaks my heart knowing that my love Gerard was disappointed…. even more coz i was in the gold section… HONESTLY! i was beside the VIP and i wanted to jump in there so bad!! the bouncers got in my way….. there were at least 9 rows not standing up or participating and one VIP ‘box’ only had a few rows. its an f-ing concert!
ask yourself why you go to concerts:
to enjoy the music and see your idols live?
or just to brag about it to your friends?
i doubt they’ll have second thoughts about coming back here. even if they got disappointed a little they know that there are A LOT of fans here waiting for them to give us another awesome show! they wouldn’t let us down! they’d never dream of it
but i do wish those posers would quit waving their money around…. GO TO THE BACK! they don’t deserve to be in front… during some songs [like the b-sides and songs from Three Cheers and Bullets] some people would just sit down T_T;; you wouldn’t feel the pain in your legs and arms at a concert! you’d just be focused on the music and the band! afterwards, then you’ll feel the pain

next time we shouldn’t let them get disappointed! and we should all go to every Toy Kingdom and place that sells action figures and toys so we can meet them! XD
I WAS IN THE FRONTmost area of the GOLD SECTION, just a shout away from Gerard…. Yep many on front didn’t come there to watch a rock concert. But there were still those like me… who jumped on top of the chairs and yelled till I drained my lungs out just that they could hear me sing their songs. I even held a placard which caught Gerard’s attention a couple of times. Well… I wasn’t minding the people around me… I was so into the fun I was having!!!
hay naku, panu naman madidissapointed si gerard, eh kc mga posers at emo ang nagpapa-epal, eh lam naman natin na ayaw ng MCR ung mga emos at tsaka hnd cla emo, anu ba mga emo,aangal pa ba kau?!Sinabi na nga lang ni gerard na “Emo is a fucking garbage”…Hnd Emo and MCR, anyways hardcore fan ako ng MCR, matagal na, hindi ako poser, I know all of their songs, may 5 CD na ako galing sa MCR, “I brought to you my bullets, you brought me your love”(re-released), “Three Cheers for sweet revenge”, “DVD Life on the murder scene”, The black parade”,and “Rise and Fall MCR DVD”. I’m from US.
